Products description
Set consisting of gold-coloured wax with a wick and seal stamp with royal emblem. In Elisabeth's time, sealing wax was used to safely seal a letter. To do this, the wax has to be heated by lighting the wick until a few drops seal the envelope. The stamp is then pressed onto the wax, when still warm. A unique seal, such as that of the Emperor, also identified the sender.
